INDA.GIF - 19062 Bytes Instant data is a system which has been refined by Navatec as a component designed to boost online business applications user performance. It also protects data integrity.

Within online business applications the originator of any data or information remains the "owner". The use of that data by others (called "recipients") depends upon the owner's approval. Rather than have a system of constant referals and permissions, the applications procedures have a built in logic whereby anyone sent a document by the owner has the right to access the information contained in that document in electronic form. So someone receiving an invoice does not have to transpose the data since instant data has already done this.

Where a Navatec online business application serves companies who do business with each other then their mutual costs decline because neither requires client end software to handle the "data transfer" issues. Under Navatec instant data, data is seldom "downloaded" but rather recipients have a filtered access to the original data which they can transpose electronically into their own document files in their directories in the Navatec servers. This way data security and integrity is ensured because it does not move outside the server domain whose boundary is indicated by the orange line in the diagram on the right.

In cases where third parties wish to gain access to data two logical "gates" (Gate C (client) and Gate S (server)) monitor requests and control access according to the wishes of the owner in a "double access key" system.
